adhere to、stick to、clingto 本意都是表示“粘附”的意思，可引申
出“坚持”、“遵守” 原则、方针、信仰观点、看法、计划、制度等。这三个词组语气较
强，使用范围广。
1）It takes tremendous courage toadhere to a belief that is not sharedby
very many others.
要坚持大多数人不赞同的观点需要巨大的勇气。
