爱华网测试当天，跟孩子说了个大概，让他到时候别太调皮。扁豆问：有什么奖赏吗？扁豆妈说：晚上去 Todai 吃自助餐。三人开车到了医生的诊所，先填了些表格，医生就把扁豆领进去了。然后就是大约两个小时的等待。期间，经常听到扁豆那“嘎嘎”的笑声。看样子，他挺放松的。测试结束后，医生笑容可掬地把扁豆送出来，跟我们说：下周取结果。开车回家的路上，我们问扁豆都测什么了？扁豆说：有游戏题，也有问答题。有考词汇理解的，也有考记忆力的。问他见过问的问题吗？扁豆说：没有。问考代数了吗？扁豆说：没有。但有逻辑思维的题。接着他说：赶紧去Todai。我要吃龙虾! 整个一个吃货!
过了周末，我带着孩子又去医生处取评估书。医生先和扁豆聊了聊天，然后开始给我科普上周的测试过程。他用的是韦氏儿童智力量表(第四版)，用四个指数(言语理解指数、知觉推理指数、工作记忆指数和加工速度指数)从认知结构的不同维度对6─16岁儿童的认知功能进行全面的评估和鉴定。 每个指数平均值是100，最高值是160。每个指数又分成数个分项指数，平均值是10，最高值是19。根据孩子年龄，由四个指数可换算出其总智商分数 (IQ)，IQ 平均值是100，最高值是160。
Assessment Measure
Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children ━ Fourth Edition (WISC-IV). This is an individually administered, comprehensive clinical instrument for assessing the intelligence of children ages 6:0 through 16:11. It provides composite scores that represent intellectual functioning in specified cognitive areas (verbal comprehension (VCI), perceptual reasoning (PRI), working memory (WMI), and processing speed (PSI)) as well as providing a composite score that represents a child's general intellectual ability. The composite scores are based on sums of age-correlated scaled scores (Full scale (FSIQ)). For each scale the distribution of the sums of scaled scores was normalized and given a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15. The highest possible score according to this scale is 160. All the raw scores on the subtests are converted to a scale with a mean of 10 and standard deviation of 3, with a range from 1 (lowest) to 19(highest).

医生说他已经有十五年给孩子测智商的经验了，但这是头一次碰到智商160的孩子。然后他就和扁豆聊如何成为一个对社会有用的人，如何同别人相处，如何充分利用自己的特长，如何向别人学习借鉴，如何理智地看待和应对别人对自己的挑战等。他们聊了一个多小时，有说有笑的，直到助手进来提醒下一个“病人”已经等了一会儿了，才作罢。临别时，医生对扁豆说：“Make full use of your talent. I am sure to hear good news about you in the future!”两人握手道别。
回家后上网一查，克林顿总统和史蒂芬．霍金爵士也是160的智商。不过人家两人都是颇有成就的奇人，我们家这个仅有些小聪明而已。话说回来，扁豆倒是真爱看BBC围绕霍金拍的记录片和霍金自己写的书。没准儿有些缘分。
