推罗、西顿的教训

Be ashamed, O Sidon, and you, O fortress of the sea,for the sea has spoken: “I have neither been in labor nor givenbirth; I have neither reared sons nor brought updaughters.” Isaiah 23:4

西顿哪,你当惭愧!因为大海说,就是海中的保障说:我没有劬(念:渠)劳,也没有生产,没有养育男子,也没有抚养童女。《以赛亚书 23章4节》

Good evening, brothers and sisters. Today, we are going tostudy the scripture Isaiah 23:4, the scripture about the city ofthe sea – Sidon.

弟兄姊妹们,晚上好。今天我们一起学习《以赛亚书23章4节》,关于海上都市-西顿的经文。

Sidon was an ancient city in Phoenicia on theMediterranean Sea in present-day southwest Lebanon. (If you look atthe world map, you can see China is here, and Lebanon is here, andSidon is here.) Not far away from Sidon was Tyre, another ancientPhoenician city. In ancient times, both cities were commercialcenters of the sea.

西顿是古代腓尼基人的都市。它位于现在黎巴嫩西南部,临近地中海。(如果你看世界地图,以可以看到中国在这里,黎巴嫩在这里,而西顿在这里。)离西顿不远是推罗城,也是腓尼基的城市。在古代,两个城市都是海上的贸易中心。



In the Old Testament, the Prophet Ezekiel foretold thefates of the two cities. Surprisingly, although the two cities werenear to each other, their fates were quite different. Still moresurprising is that, although Ezekiel did not live to see thefulfillment of his prophesies, which seemed to be very hard tofulfill, with God’s enlightenment, his foretelling was 100%accurate. So today, let us first look at the prophecies about thetwo cities and their fulfillments.

在《旧约圣经》中,先知以西结预言了两个城市的命运。惊人的是,虽然两个城市距离很近,但它们的命运却截然不同。更惊人的是,虽然以西结的预言听起来很难应验,而且以西结本人也没能看到自己的预言应验,通过上帝的启迪,他的预言达到100%准确。所以今天,我们来看看关于这两个城市的预言,以及它们是怎么应验的。


First, we will look at Tyre, which was 20 miles away fromSidon. The 26th Chapter of the book of Ezekiel waswritten in sometime between 592-570 BC. In this chapter, Ezekielforetold, with great accuracy, the follows things:

首先我们来看距离西顿20英里之遥的推罗城。《以西结书》26章成书于公元前592至570年。在这一章中,以西结以极高的准确率预言了如下事件。

1) Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, would destroy thecity. (Ezekiel 26: 8)

巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒会毁灭推罗。(结 26:8)

2) Tyre would be attacked by many nations. (Ezekiel 26:3)

许多国民会攻打推罗(结26:3)

3) There would be nothing left of the city. (Ezekiel 26:4)

推罗城将会被彻底毁灭(结26:4)

4) The walls and towers of the city would be torn down.Its timbers, bricks, and dusts would be cast into the sea. (Ezekiel26: 4, 12)

推罗的城墙和塔楼将被拆毁。筑城的木料、砖块、和土将被投入海中(结26:4,12)

5) Tyre and the area which was near to it in the midst ofthe sea would be a place for fishermen to spread fishnets. (Ezekiel26: 5, 14)

会有渔民在推罗旧址以及推罗附近海中的区域晒网(结26:5,14)

6) It would never be rebuilt. (Ezekiel 26: 14)

推罗永不被重建(结26:14)

These 6 conditions may not look like much at first glance,but on further thought, we can see that it is extremely difficultto fulfill them all. Some of them may even seem absurd.

这6条看起来似乎没什么了不起,实际却很难全部应验。其中的有些条甚至听起来很荒谬。

The first one is: Nebuchadnezzar would destroy the city.The prophet not only said that the city would be destroyed, butalso named clearly who would do it. This is an extremely riskyprophesy, because if another king destroyed the city rather thanNebuchadnezzar, then the prophesy would fail. But we know that Godnever fails. Three years after this prophesy had been given,Nebuchadnezzar began to attack the city. It took him some 13 yearsto finally capture the city. Now you may wonder: sinceNebuchadnezzar spent so much effort to capture the city, it wouldbe absurd for him to destroy the city when he could useit.

第一条:尼布甲尼撒会毁灭推罗。先知不止说推罗会被毁灭,而且还明确说出是谁会毁灭它。这样做可真是冒险,因为要是换作别的国王毁掉推罗城,而不是尼布甲尼撒,那预言不就不灵了吗?但是上帝的预言没有不灵验的。预言发出的三年后,尼布甲尼撒果然攻打了推罗城。他花了13年最终攻下城池。现在诸位可能想了:尼布甲尼撒费了那么大劲,把推罗攻下来。然后放着好好的城池不利用,反倒把它毁了,这不是吃饱了撑的吗?



But when he entered into the city, he found that thetreasury was empty. The people of Tyre had already taken thetreasures away and moved to another newly built stronghold a fewmiles away. Then you can imagine that Nebuchadnezzar was veryangry. He ordered the destruction of the entire city. And in a fewdays, the city was brought to ruin. Up until this point, except thefirst prophecy, none of the other 5 prophecies had been fulfilled.And it seems unlikely that they would be fulfilled anyway. Tyre hadbecome a ruin. What crazy men would continue to attack a desolateplace and cast all its remnants into the sea? But, as we are goingto see, the destruction of Tyre had not ended yet.

但是他一进城,竟发现国库空空如也。推罗人早就带着财宝,逃到附近一个新修建的要塞中。尼布甲尼撒差点儿没把鼻子给气歪了。他立即下令,把整个推罗城毁灭,以泄心头之恨。没用多长时间,推罗城就被夷为废墟。

说到这里,除了第一条预言,其它五条好像都没有应验。而且它们好像也应验不了了。推罗现在已经是一片废墟。谁要是没事儿攻打一片废墟,还拿它填海,那才叫神经病呢。但是我们接着看,推罗的噩运还远远没有结束。






As mentioned before, before the city fell, the people of Tyrehad already moved to a nearby stronghold, together with theirtreasures. In order to get Tyre’s treasures, many nations in thehistory have attacked the new Tyre stronghold. We know that when wesay the word Tyre, wecan either mean the city of Tyre or its citizens. So this fulfilledthe second prophesy, which foretold that Tyre would be attacked bymany nations.

前面说了,推罗攻陷前,推罗人早就带着财宝逃到了附近的一个要塞。为了争夺这些财宝,历史上许多民族攻打过这个新城。我们大家知道,当人们说“推罗”这个词的时候,它要么指推罗这个地方,它要么指里面生活的推罗人。现在许多国民攻打推罗人,就应验了第二条预言:许多国民要攻打推罗。


The newly built stronghold was finally brought down 240years later. At that time, the name of the Grecian Emperor,Alexander the Great, hadshaken the eastern countries. In 332 BC, he attacked the strongholdbut was surprised to find that it was built in thewater. The people of Tyre thought that the Greeks would not passthe strong current of water to get to them. They were wrong. Theydidn’t know that Alexander was so determined that he ordered whatremained of the old Tyre city to be brought and cast into the seato make a causeway for the Grecian soldiers. This project was huge.It consumed all that was left of the old city together with some ofthe soil underneath, leaving only a rock face. After centuries ofbeing washed up by the sea tides, the rock became very smooth. Andit, together with the causeway in the midst of the sea, asforetold, has become a place for fishermen to spread their nets.And up until today, no new city has been built upon the former siteof Tyre.

新造的要塞在240年后被攻陷。那时候,希腊皇帝-亚历山大之名撼动着整个东方。

在公元前332年,他攻打了这个要塞。然而他却发现要塞被建在水中央。推罗人以为,亚历山大一定不会渡过急水,攻打他们。但他们错了。亚历山大对拿下推罗可谓势在必得,他下令把推罗旧城残留的废墟全搬过来填海,在海上修筑一条通道。这项工程声势浩大。把推罗废墟全用来填海还不够,还用掉了城底下的泥土,最后剩下一块光秃秃的石板。那块石板经过几百年海浪冲刷,变得十分光滑。果然最后,推罗城的旧址以及海中修建的那个通道成为了渔民晒网的地方。直到今天,推罗城旧址上也还没有新城建立。

Now we see that, although God’s foretelling of the city’sfate seemed to be a fantasy to beginning with, in the end, it wasfully fulfilled just as God has foretold. Now let’s look at anothercommercial centre of the time, Sidon, which was 20 miles away fromTyre. The scripture about Sidon’s fate is very short andbreif:

这里我们看到,虽然上帝对推罗的预言听起来十分不切实际。但最后它们却全部应验。现在我们来看当时另外一个商业中心——距离推罗20英里的西顿。

圣经对西顿的预言十分简洁:

“I will send a plague upon her and make blood flow inher streets. The slain will fall within her, with the sword againsther on every side. Then they will know that I am theLORD.” – Ezekiel 28: 23

我必使瘟疫进入西顿、使血流在他街上.被杀的必在其中仆倒、四围有刀剑临到他、人就知道我是耶和华。”《以西结书》8章23节

Sidon was near to Tyre, yet the judgment itreceived was quite different from that of Tyre. The Bible only saidthat Sidon would be attacked and there would be civiliancasualties. It neither said that Sidon would be totally destroyed,nor that it would never be rebuilt. In history, after the prophesywas given, Sidon has been attacked by many peoples includingPersians, Christians, and Muslins. It has suffered greatly. Yetevery time shortly after the destruction, it also recoveredquickly, although its former glory never returned.

西顿离推罗不远,但是受到的审判却与推罗不同。《圣经》上只说西顿会遭到攻打,且会死许多百姓。它没说西顿会被彻底毁灭,永远不被重建。在历史上,预言发出后,西顿受到很多民族的攻打,有波斯人,有天主教徒,也有回民。虽然每次攻打都令西顿受害严重,但是每次之后,它都能迅速被重建。虽然它再也没有以前那么繁荣。




From the Bible’s prophecies about the two cities and theirfulfillments, we can see that God is faithful. He is the Truth. Godnever shortchanges people for what he has promised. We can fullytrust in God’s faithfulness.

从《圣经》对两座城的预言,以及预言的应验,我们可以得知上帝是信实的。他就是真理。上帝对人所承诺的,他必定做到,绝不打折扣。我们可以完全相信上帝的诚实。

Only the one and true God can predict the future with sogreat an accuracy. In human history, many religions have foretoldthe future, but none of them would foretell something that wouldSURELY happen. This was too risky, because if such a foretellingfailed, people would stop believing them. Therefore although thosereligious leaders would assume the air of knowing something inorder to attract large audiences, their foretelling was full ofmaybes and perhaps.

只有独一的真神才能够如此准确地预言未来。在人类历史上,许多宗教会预言未来,但没有宗教会预言那些必然发生的事情。因为这样做太冒险了,如果预言失败,不是等于砸自己招牌吗?所以,别的宗教的创始人虽然经常装出一副无所不知的样子哗众取宠,一轮到他们发预言,他们的预言里却都是些“也许吧”“大概吧”。

This is like the monk whom I mentioned last time when Ipreached in May. In 2012 he said, the world was going to end thatyear. But he also added, if many began to appreciate Buddha, thenthe end may be delayed, say, for one or two years. So in 2013,although the world did not end, he could still say, I have neversaid it will surely end, have I? But be warned, I have friends inNASA who told me, this year it is very likely to end if you don’tbehave. OK, let me see. Today is November 24, 2013. And I’m notbehaving in giving this sermon and criticizing budhism. OK, in 2014we shall see.

比如说,我上次五月份布道时提到的那个净空法师。2012年,他说,世界要在那一年末日。但是他又补充说。如果人们开始信佛,念佛,那么世界也可以晚一两年末日。所以2013年,世界虽然没有末日,他还可以给自己打个圆场,说,“我可从没说过2012年世界一定会末日。你们这是不懂佛法。但是我告诉你们,我在美国航天总署的朋友们说了,你们要是不‘广结善果’,那么今年,它就要末日啦。”让我看看,今天是2013年11月24日。而且我刚刚批评完他,算是没结善果儿。行。到了明年咱们就见分晓了。


But the Bible is different. Its predicitions do not havemaybes and perhaps. Every time when the Bible foretells something,it will say that something will surely happen, although sometimesthe specific time in which such a saying would be fulfilled may notbe given. And no matter how long it takes, it will be fulfilled.Take Tyre and Sidon, for example: the fulfillments of theirprophesies took nearly 1000 years.

但是《圣经》就和这个不同。《圣经》里的预言没有那么多也许大概。《圣经》预言什么,都是说它注定要发生。预言一旦发出,不管花多长时间,最后一定会应验。拿推罗西顿说吧,全部应验关于这两个地方的预言用了大概1000多年。

If the Bible says Sidon would not be rebuilt rather thanTyre, then every citizen now living in Sidon would be a proof thatthe Bible is wrong. Or if Tyre was not totally destroyed, and aftera few years it was rebuilt again, then this fact would prove thatthe Bible is wrong. Yet the city was totally destroyed. It is saidthat if every man who is Christ’s enemy in western countries eachcontributes one dollar, they can build a big city on the formeraddress of Tyre. Yet no one bothered to do that, because the nationof Tyre was already lost in history. Even if someone builds a cityin its former site and names it Tyre, it is not Tyre any more. The prophesy hasbeen fully fulfilled.

如果《圣经》说,西顿永不重建,而非推罗。那么现在生活在西顿城内的每一个市民都将成为《圣经》说谎的活生生的例证。还有,如果推罗没有被彻底毁灭,没过几年又被重建了,那么这个史实就足以说明《圣经》是错的。但是推罗城被彻底毁灭了。据说,西方发达国家的每个敌视基督的人,一人出一美元,就可以在推罗遗址上重建一座城市。(但没有人费这个力气,因为腓尼基这个民族已经在历史长河中泯灭了。就算有人在推罗旧址上建造城市并命名为推罗,它也不再是“推罗”了。这段预言现在已经彻底应验了。)

Now we know that God is faithful. He never breaks hispromise. Knowing this, let us see what other lessons we can learnfrom the destructions of the two cities. To see that, first, let ussee Tyre and Sidon in their primes.

现在我们知道上帝是信实的。他从不食言。知道了这点,我们看看从两个城市的毁灭中,我们还能学到什么。为了看这点,我们先看一看鼎盛时的推罗和西顿。

As said before, both cities were seaports and commercialcenters of the time. They were very rich. And their walls werefortified. In fact, their citizens were quite proud of theirwealthy and secured livings. They lived inside the cities happily,working, drinking, nourishing their children and worshipping theiridols. In ancient times, people from other places would travel agreat distance by boat to the two cities, because it would be fareasier for them to make money there.

前面提到过,两个城市是当时的海港都市和商业中心。这两个城,人民阔绰,城墙坚固。里面的居民很为自己安稳、富裕的生活骄傲。他们在城里生活,工作,没事儿喝点儿小酒儿,养养孩子,拜拜偶像,不亦乐乎。古代时,其它地方的人会长途跋涉来到推罗西顿,因为在那里很容易赚到钱。

Speaking of sea travel, I want to mention that, in ancienttimes, traveling by boat was not nearly as safe as nowadays.Nowadays we seldom hear of any shipwreck. If there is one, it willbe in tomorrow’s morning paper, and people will discuss it in theiroffices. But in ancient days, sailing on the sea was extremelydangerous. So those people were risking their lives to get to theplace where money was easier to make. They took their localproducts and set out. When they got to the place, they started totrade with the people there.

提起海上航行,我这里想提一点:在古代时,航海比现在要危险得多。现在我们很少听说有船难。要是有哪儿发生了船难,那转天早上一准儿会见报。人们上班时也会提起这件事,但是在古时,海上航行是极其危险的。所以这些人冒着生命危险,为的就是到一个更容易赚钱的地方。他们携带当地的土产品,乘风破浪。到达推罗西顿后,就和当地的人们交易。

Now let us consider these people and their efforts. Theytraveled in order to make more money. Would they reach theirdestinations? It depended. If they were lucky, they would. If theywere not, they died. And there was also the possibility that theythemselves would manage to get to the cities, yet lose their goodsto shipwrecks or pirates. And with no money, and no goods, theywould arrive at the cities as refugees. If both men and their goodsreached the cities so that men could start trading, were theyguaranteed to make money? No, they might still go bankrupt becauseof their poor business skills or a changing market.

我们来审视一下推罗西顿的人,以及他们所付出的努力。他们跋涉,为了赚更多钱。他们一定能如愿到达目的地吗?那就两说了。如果运气好,他们就能到。如果运气不好,还能把命丢了。当然还有一种可能性,就是他们到达了推罗西顿,但是因为遇见船难或海盗,东西没了。这样的话,没钱,没东西,他们只能以难民的身份抵达推罗西顿。如果人和货物都抵达了推罗西顿,可以开始做买卖了,那他们就一定能赚到钱吗?那可不一定,他们要是不善于经商,或者遇见坏的市场行情,照样是可以破产的。

Besides, they might even be cheated by their businesspartners. When that happened, a quarrel would start. If eitherparty was not satisfied, they went to courts and accused eachothers, for the cities had their justice systems. As for God,people in those two cities would worship any god or gods that theybelieved to be in good positions to bring them money.

此外,他们还可能被生意伙伴欺骗。当这发生时,他们开始互相争吵。争吵的结果,如果最终不能令双方满意,就得打官司。那时候两个城有着司法系统。至于上帝,这两个城里的人认为哪路神仙能令他们赚钱就去拜哪路神仙,才不管什么上帝。


This was just as nowadays: people would fight over some ofmoney, totally disregarding their spiritual lives. Even now Godcontinues to speak to all, revealing his love and grace, but manyare deaf and harden against his voice. Many love to listen to theworld rather than to God. They follow after their carnal desiresmore readily than after the good pleasure of God. The worldpromises things which are temporal and small. And it is served withgreat eagerness. God promises things that are great and eternal,yet the hearts of the humans are slow to stir. Who serves and obeysGod in all things, with the same carefulness as he serves the worldand its rulers?

这就像是现如今。人们竞相敛财,无视自己的灵性生命。即使是现在,上帝也在用他特有的声音对全人类诉说着他的爱和恩典,但许多人对上帝的声音心里刚硬、耳朵聋塞。许多人喜欢听从世上的言语,却不愿意听从上帝。他们喜欢随从情欲,却不喜欢取悦上帝。世界的应许不过是短暂而且低贱的事物,但是人却争先恐后地服侍它。上帝所应许的是无比高上而且永恒的事,但是人心都以冷漠、冥顽对它。有谁曾在一切的事上谨慎地服侍上帝,像他们服侍世界还有世界的君王一样呢?

“Be ashamed, O Sidon”, said the sea.And if you want to know why, here’s why.

海说:“西顿啊,你应当羞愧”。你若问其原因,请听我慢慢道来。

For a little reward, man makes a long journey; for eternallife many feel tired to lift a foot once from the ground. Pettyreward is sought after; for a single piece of money sometimes thereis a shameful striving; for some empty promises, man can labor dayand night and travel a great distance on a road full ofdangers.

为着一点小利奔波,不远万里;为着永生,只一举手,一投足之劳都感困难。些微的酬报就可令人奋力追求、若有不逮,有时为了一些小钱竟起了可耻的争讼,为了微小、空洞的应许,人常昼夜不息地辛劳。

But, O shame! for the kingdom of heaven -- an unchangeablegood, a huge reward, the highest honor, and a glory that never fadeaway, it is extremely difficult for men to labor even alittle.

但是为着天国——那永不改变的好处,无可比拟的奖赏,至高的荣誉,无疆的荣耀,人们却吝惜少量的劳力。

So God uses the destructions of the two cities to teach ushow quickly and easily the glory of the world passes away. Today,they are. And tomorrow, they will vanish. The sea said, I haveneither been in labor nor given birth; I have neither reared sonsnor brought up daughters. And it is well spoken. When thecitizens of Tyre and Sidon, those Phoenicians, flourished, theyseemed to be something, but now they are a forgotten race. Theybecame lost in history. Their riches were plundered by othernations; their former dwellings are either desolated or inhabitedby people, who perhaps, never have one thought concerningthem.

所以上帝用推罗西顿的毁灭来晓谕世人:世上的荣华转眼即逝。他们如梦幻泡影,今天还在,明天便消失无踪。海说:我没有劬(念:渠)劳,也没有生产,没有养育男子,也没有抚养童女。她说得一点没错。当腓尼基人居住在推罗西顿时,他们很了不起,但是现在,他们却是被遗忘的民族,泯灭在历史长河中。他们的财富被别人搜刮,他们的城池要么彻底荒废,要么被别人居住——而那些人心里可能从来都未想起他们。

If only they had used their time meaningfully, they wouldhave spent more effort in serving God rather than the world. Yetbecause they loved to be great more than to be humble, to be richmore than to be in the grace of God, they had “become vain intheir imaginations”. But brothers and sisters, do not thinkthat what I just mentioned is limited to the citizens of Tyre andSidon only. In fact, often, we Christians are no better thanthem.

如果他们能有意义地度过他们的生命,他们就会花更多时间侍奉上帝、而非世界。但是因为他们比起谦卑更看重为尊为大、比起得到上帝的恩典更看重金钱和财富,他们在“幻想中泯灭了”。但是,弟兄姊妹们,别以为我所讲的这些事只是限于推论和西顿人。事实上,我们当今的基督徒也没能比他们强很多。

How many of us are so devoted to God that we come toChurch, which may be near our home, regularly to serve God withoutfail, and regardless of weather? And think about this: if a sourcethat we believed to be reliable tells us that 10,000 dollars awaitus in a place 20 miles away, how many of us will actually fail toget there? Think about it. If someday, you earn one billiondollars, how joyful will you be? Yet will you equally rejoice inknowing that Jesus loves you?

我们这里许多弟兄姊妹家离教堂并不远,但是我们中有多少人能殷切地侍奉上帝,定时来教堂参加服侍,寒暑易节,从未废止呢?试问:如果大家信任的一个来源告诉大家,去20英里以外的一个地方就能拿着10000美金,咱们当中会有几个不去的?试问:如果你赚了十亿美金,你会是多高兴?那么当你知道“耶稣爱你”的时候,是不是一样高兴呢?



Therefore, we, as lazy and discontented servants of God,should also feel ashamed, for people of the world have spent moreeffort to enter into destrucion than we have to enter into life.They rejoice more heartily in empty promises than we do in truth.Sometimes in deed, they are disappointed in their hope, but Godalways keeps his promise. Neither does he send away those whobelieve in him empty-handed. What he has promised he will give;what he has said he will fulfill; if only a man remains faithful inGod’s love to the end. Therefore God is the rewarder of all goodmen, and a strong approver of all who are godly.

所以说,我们作为懒惰怀怨的仆人,也应当羞愧。因为世人奔向毁灭,比我们奔向生命还更努力呢!世人在虚空中比我们在真理中还更喜乐呢!世人有时在他们的希望中受到挫折,但是上帝所应许的都绝不落空,他也不叫信靠他的人空手而回。上帝所应许的,他必赐予。上帝所说的,他必成全,只要人始终不变地忠诚爱他。上帝赏赐义人,坚固属他的人。

Brothers and sisters, I entreat you to write the teachingof Tyre and Sidon in your hearts and consider it diligently,because it shall be needful to you when you are in temptation.There may still be a long way for us in the road which leads tovirtue. Therefore, be devote to God and amend yourselves day byday. How frail is human nature that we are always inclined to evil!The virtue we gain by grace may soon be lost throughcarelessness.

弟兄姊妹们,我恳请你们将推落和西顿的教训铭记于心。你们身处试探中时,请细想它。通往美德的道路仍旧漫长。因此我们需要热心服侍上帝,每日悔改迁善。人心何等脆弱,时常倾向作恶。就算是我们藉着上帝恩典所努力得到的美德,如果疏忽,也许很快就会失去。

If we become cold now, what will become of us in thefuture?

如果我们现在就冷淡下来,那么将来我们又会怎样呢?

Woe to us if we take life easy now – as though our eternallive were assured – when in reality there is no sign of trueholiness in our conduct!

我们会松弛下来,自以为一切都已平安稳妥,实际上我们的品性还没有半点儿真实圣洁的表现。我们有祸了。

OK, this concludes my sermon. Before we end, let us goover what we have learnt today:

好,今天我们的布道就先告一段落,结束前,让我们先复习一下所学到的东西。

Today, we first learnt the prophesies of Tyre and Sidon’sfate by God, and their fulfillments. From this, we learnt that Godis true God. And he is faithful. He never cheat people. He alwayskeeps his promise.

首先,今天我们学习了上帝对推罗西顿的预言以及预言的应验。从这点我们得知上帝是真神,他是信实的,他从不欺骗人。

附录:推罗,海岛都市?

因为最近,在研究关于这一段的经文,所以上网查一些资料。看到一个无神论者的博客里写推罗压根不是大陆都市,而是海岛都市。所以圣经的语言不是真的。

摘抄其博文如下:开栏原文所说的推罗是大陆沿岸城市,被攻陷才搬去一海岛。这是彻头彻尾的谎言!即使是耶经,也有很清晰经文说推罗是海岛。“他必在海中作晒网的地方”(结26:5),“在海中”大部分英译本都译作“in the midst of the sea”,明显是海岛,所以 The Message译本把这句经文译成“She'll be an island of bare rock in the ocean, good fornothing but drying fishnets.”;另外,结 27:4也提到推罗是海岛:“你的境界在海中,造你的使你全然美丽。”英译本为“in the midst of the seas”(KJV等)“in the heart of the seas”(ASV、ESV、NASB 等)。

我正好研究这段,就做出如下的解释,分享给主内肢体:

这位博友,你好。我偶然间看到你的这篇博文,写得很有趣。

我就推罗的部分写一些我的看法。我对历史没什么研究。相对来说,对《圣经》倒是有些研究。

首先,我认为,从《以西结书》,我们不仅得不出推罗是海岛的结论,反而能得出,推罗是在大陆上。

首先从《以西结》书27章3节里十分明确写到:“你居住海口,是众民的商埠,你的交易通到许多的海岛。”(O thouthat art situate at the entry of the sea/kjv)这已经明确说了,推罗在海的入口。

紧接近着第四节,就是你引用的:“你的境界在海中。”境界这个词kjv版是border,也就是疆界的意思。一个城市或国家的疆界是比城市或国家要大的。所以有的中文版,比如天主教的思高版,将这句话翻译成:“你的领域伸入海心。”

即使换个思维,第三节和第四节相距这么近,第三节刚说完推罗在海口,(我知道你认为基督徒很蠢),就算先知再蠢以不至于紧接着就自抽嘴巴吧。

其次,关于“它必在海中作晒网的地方”(26:5)。我们这里只要看一下kjv英文版的圣经26:4和26:5就真相大白了。


26:4And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down hertowers: I will also scrape 【her】
dust from 【her】, and make 【her】 like the top of a rock.
26:5【It】 shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst ofthe sea: for I have spoken it, saith
the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to thenations.

在前面第四节,提到推罗城的时候,圣经用的是her,也就是“她”,而后面说海中晒网的地方,用的是it,也就是“它”。

“她”这个词古时经常用来指代城市、船只、国家等阴性的名词。而圣经前文中已经用来指代推罗城。而海中晒网的地方用it,则证明肯定指的地方不能和推罗城画上等号。

据我推测,这个it,应该指的是推罗城旧址,以及后来亚历山大大帝在“海中”修的通道。

在后面14节,圣经又写到And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thoushalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more:for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

又重申了一下前面的内容,这回圣经很明显是在单单指推罗城,所以圣经就没说in the midst of thesea(在海中)。
