Population: More than 7,565,000 people live inVirginia.
Geography: Located in the south-Atlantic region of theUnited States, Virginia shares a border with Washington (theDistrict of Columbia) and Maryland to the north; North Carolina andTennessee to the south; and West Virginia and Kentucky to the west.Its 110,700 square kilometers include mountains and valleys to thewest and coastal plains to the east.
