obstacle、barrier、obstruction

这三个名词可指具体的“障碍物”，也可指抽象意义上的“障碍”。
obstacle泛指挡在道路中必须清除或绕行的障碍物。也可指事物发展和进行中
必须克服的障碍。（something that blocksyou so that movement, going
forward or action areprevented or made more difficult.）obstacle
常与介词 to连用。
1）The huge tree thathad been blown down by the storm was an obstacle totraffic.
被暴风雨刮倒的大树成了交通的障碍。
2）Most competitioncars will only roll over if they hitanobstacle.
大多数赛车只有在撞上障碍物时才会翻车。
