这组词都可表示“轻视”、“藐视”、“蔑视”、“鄙视”、“瞧不起”的意思。
look down on/ upon非正式用语，指自视地位优越而看不起某人或某事（To look down uponmeans to consider someone or something lesser or inferior insome way.）
1）You should not look downupon the youth just because they are youngand
inexperienced.
你不应该因为年轻人没有经验而看不起他们。
2）In business, you shouldby no means look down on your rivals.

这三名词都可表示“轻视”、“藐视”的意思，常接介词for。contempt普通
用词，只用作名词。 scorn 和 disdain用法同其动词。三者侧重不同，
区别不大。
