achieve 和 accomplish 的区别

这两个动词都可表示“取得成绩、成就”。 achieve强调通过能力获得较大的成就或成
绩。常直接接success 或 victory等作宾语，也可接不定代词 something、nothing、little
等。accomplish 语气比achieve 弱，表示“取得成绩、成就” 时只接不定代词 something 、
nothing、little，指有所建树或无所作为等。
1）We should never be content with what we haveachieved.
我们永远不应该满足于我们所取得的成绩。
2）Despite repeatedfailures and setbacks, they eventually achievedsomesuccess
in theexperiment.
尽管一再失败和挫折,他们实验最终取得了一些成功。
3）It is good to havetalent, but talent alone cannot achieve greatdeeds.

名词 achievement 词和accomplishment 表示“成就”时区别不大，有时可以通用。相
比较而言，achievement指较大的成绩或成就，语气比accomplishment强。
