In thepictures, we can see that many people, old and young, arecheerfully
surfing on theInternet. As the pictures show, internet surfing has become avery
popular activityamong people. According to a recent survey, 60 percent ofcity
residents havebecome Internet users. They surf on the Internet in workplace,at
school, at home orat net-bars for a variety of purposes: browsing, sendinge-mails,
chatting andplaying video games and so on.
Internet surfing has attracted so many people like magnets becausethe it can
bring us manyadvantages in our lives. We can obtain and transmit informationeasily
and quicklythrough the Internet. Besides, we can do a lot of things on theWeb, such
as acquiringinformation，shopping, booking tickets and seeking medical adviceand so
on. However, manyyoung people are easily indulged in the Internet. They oftenspend
too much time onthe Internet, chatting and playing games endlessly, whichmay
interfere withtheir work or study. Another problem is that some websites
disseminatepornographic contents on the web, which is undoubtedly harmful tothe
growth of youngpeople.
Internethas been revolutionizing our economy, our society and our life. Inthe
long run, in myopinion, the Internet will play an even more important role inour
lives. We willinevitably depend more and more on the Internet. If we can findways
to cope with thepossible problems, we will surely surf more happily in the seaof
the Internet, andgain more knowledge, entertainment and enjoyment with thehealthy
development ofInternet.
