设计源启动100年100位平面设计师系列（一）1-20
整理了世界上优秀的100位平面设计师的简介和主要代表作品（个人挑选，不代表官方水准~~），由于大师们的作品太多，所以只能将简介和作品出现在一个平面上，看起来能够更加直观一些，若是觉得哪位大师的作品没有看尽兴，则可以通过网上自选搜索查找。由于个人精力有限，在这里就不一一整理了，若是出现什么疏忽或是有问题的地方，希望多提意见，共同完善!!

001.奥托• 艾舍 OtlAicher
德国平面设计家。是德国20世纪最有影响力的设计师之一，同时也是国际知名的设计师，是二战后西德的重要设计师，为慕尼黑奥运从制服到入场券都做了完整的设计，成为赛事标准化视觉图形识别的经典传统。他是慕尼黑奥运组委会代表之一，他创造了现今国际上广为传播的象形符号（Pictogram）系统作为导向。

002. 乔纳森•巴恩布克JonathanBarnbrook
声誉卓然却也争议不断的英国设计师，在其20年职业生涯中，始终站在国际设计领域的前沿，被公认为当代最具创造力和影响力的平面设计师之一。他呼吁设计师不要成为只为商业利益驱使的工匠，“远离那些想让你们（设计师）为其撒谎的企业”，他为一些弱势团体设计海报和口号，并时常在作品中出现反讽文字，诙谐幽默却隐含着对某些社会现象的严肃批判。

003.索尔•巴斯Saul Bass
Saulbass多才多艺，是一位杰出的图形设计师和制片人，主要从事电影海报、Logo设计等。其作品包括AveryInternation、美国大陆航空以及联合航空等的Logo。

004. 赫伯特•拜尔Herbert Bayer
平面设计师,曾在包豪斯学习绘画，后成立包豪斯印刷广告工作室。主要成就是非衬线字体，他称之为“通用字体”。从1938年开始，他在美国做平面设计师。著名作品包括为美国集装箱公司设计的一系列艺术插画广告，被称为“GreatIdeas of Western Man”。

005. 莱斯特•比尔Lester Beall
Lester Beall (1903–1969) was a twentieth-centuryAmerican graphic designer notable as a leading proponent ofmodernist graphic design in the United States. His clear andconcise use of typography was highly praised both in the UnitedStates and abroad. Throughout his career he used bold primarycolors and illustrative arrows and lines in a graphic style thatbecame easily recognizable as his own. He eventually moved to ruralNew York and set up an office, and home, at a premises that he andhis family called "Dumbarton Farm". He remained at the farm untilhis death in 1969.

006. 亨利•贝克Henry Beck
英国人亨利•贝克是伦敦交通委员会的工程师，他早在1931年就利用电子线路图知识设计出第一张地铁系统的交通图。1933年亨利•贝克进一步突破了距离和空间位置的局限设计出了伦敦地铁交通图。他通过反复推敲，利用鲜明色彩标明地下铁线路，并用琼斯顿的无装饰线体字体——“铁路体”标明站名，用圆圈标明线路交叉地点。

007. 彼得•贝伦斯Peter Behrens
彼得•贝伦斯(PeterBehrens)德国现代设计之父，是德国现代主义设计的重要奠基人之一，在建筑和设计方面的深远影响一直延续到今天。他将工业设计规格化，他为德国电器工业公司(AEG)设计企业形象，设计了统一的形式语言，是企业形象设计最早和比较完善的典型作品，开创了现代公司识别计划的先河。最成功之处在于培养了世界现代建筑五位大师中的3位，密斯•凡•德罗，瓦尔特•格罗皮乌斯与勒•柯布西耶均是他的学生。

Lucian Bernhard (March 15, 1883–May 29, 1972) was aGerman graphic designer, type designer, professor, interiordesigner, and artist during the first half of the twentiethcentury. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany, on March 15, 1883, asEmil Kahn to a Jewish family, but changed in 1905 to his morecommonly known pseudonym. His first name is often spelledLucien.

Jean Carlu (Bonnières-sur-Seine, France, 1900 -1997) was a French graphic designer, specialised in posters. He wasmember of a family of architects; his brother Jacques Carlu forexample designed the Palais de Chaillot in Paris. He made postersduring World War II to promote an increase in Americanproduction.

Paul Colin (27 June 1892 in Nancy, France - 18 June1985 in Nogent-sur-Marne) was one of France’s greatest posterartists. Made famous in 1925 by his poster for the Revue Nègre,which helped to launch the career of Joséphine Baker (who becamehis mistress), he worked for over forty years in the theatre,creating not only posters but also numerous sets andcostumes.

Roger Excoffon has four claims to fame. Since his deathin 1983 at the age of 72, he is remembered best for his highlyoriginal type designs (which have been given a new lease on life bybeing adapted and extended for use in digitised versions). In hislifetime, however, he was famous first and foremost as anoutstanding graphic designer and painter who produced magnificentposters in the 1960s and 1970s for Air France and other leadingFrench companies.
