inform普通用词，指传达事实或资料以直接让人知道。常用结构是：inform…… of /
about；beinformed of …….；Keep informed of/about
1）We will inform you ofthe result as soon as we have completed the

我们我们一完成了实验就会告知你结果。
2）Pleaseinform us of your decision and we will actaccordingly.
请把你们的决定通知我们，我们会照着去办的。

acquaint指使人了解并熟悉某事。常用结构是：acquaint…… with ……； be
acquainted with …… (相当于 be familiar with)。也可表示“把某事通知某
人”、“告知”的意思
1）He has written several books to acquaint thepeople of the United States with

他写了一些书，目的是让美国人民了解和中国文化。
2）Before the newproduct is to be put into production, we must firstacquaint

notify指正式通知或书面某人应该或需要知道的事。用法与advise 相同。
