卷10 2016年辽宁省沈阳市高三教学质量监测(一)
【听力录音材料】
Text 1
W: What are you doing up so early?
M: I’m going to line up to get tickets for the baseball match. They go on sale at 10:00 a.m., but I want to make sure I’m at the front of the line, so I’m planning to get to the stadium when it opens at 8:00 a.m.
W: Wow, you sure are a real fan! I don’t think I’ve ever seen you awake before 7 o’clock!
Text 2
M: I forgot my student ID. Can I still check out a book?
W: It’s okay, as long as you don’t have any overdue books. What’s your student number?
Text 3
M: Next time I go to the doctor, remind me to bring you along. I probably understood half of what the guy told me. He spoke so fast, and he used tons of words that I never learned in my Chinese classes.
W: I thought they had English-speaking doctors there.
Text 4
W: Professor, could I hand in my paper a few days late?
M: I’m afraid that’s out of the question.
Text 5
W: How much is your cellphone bill each month?
M: It’s different every month. Depending on how long I spend online and what kinds of things I use my phone to do on the Internet, it ranges between 60 and 80 dollars a month.
Text 6
W: Good morning, class. Today, I thought we would talk about something bright and cheerful—the sun! Can anyone tell me how you feel when it’s sunny compared to how you feel when it’s cloudy?
M: I find that it’s a lot easier to get up in the morning if it’s sunny.
W: Well, what if I told you that it would rain for weeks on end with no break?
M: I don’t think I would like that very much.
W: Lately, most of the articles regarding the sun only discuss the negative effects of staying in the sun for too long. Although these articles are factual, the sun does have some positive effects as well.
Text 7
W: Wow! Did you just go swimming in a pool of sweat or what?
M: Very funny! It was hot out there, and I ran two miles more than I usually do.
1
W: I’ll bet you lost five pounds of your body weight after your jog!
M: Yeah, I can’t wait to take a shower. Have you seen my brown shorts?
W: Yeah, they’re in the laundry room. I was just about to do a load. You know what? Why don’t you throw those dirty clothes in there, and I’ll wash them with the others?
M: Good idea. Let me just get something to drink first. I don’t think I’ve ever been this thirsty in my entire life!
W: Yeah, of course. First things first!
Text 8
W: Hi. I was wondering if you have time to cut and color my hair today.
M: Yes, we could fit you in at 4:00 p.m. What did you have in mind?
W: My husband was joking with me that I’d look good as a redhead, so I want to surprise him and come home with bright red hair.
M: We can definitely do that, but your hair is so dark that we would need to use some chemicals first. It might be better if you come back tomorrow, since this will take a long time.
W: Oh, I hadn’t realized you would need to use so many chemicals. They won’t damage my hair, will they?
M: That is another concern. You have such healthy-looking hair, and these chemicals might be hard on it.
W: Couldn’t you dye my hair red without using the chemicals?
M: We could try that, but it wouldn’t give you the result you’re looking for. You would still have black hair, but with a slight red tone.
W: I see. I think I’ll go ahead and have you use the chemicals and then color my hair. What time can I come in tomorrow?
M: Let’s see… I have openings at noon and at 3:00 p.m.
W: Noon would work best for me. I’ll bring a book to read, since I’ll be sitting in that chair for a long time!
Text 9
W: Good morning, Mr. Evans. Did you have a nice weekend?
M: Not really. My wife and my daughter were arguing the whole weekend about God knows what, and my son came down with the flu, so we had to miss a really important football game that I had gotten tickets to.
W: Oh, that’s too bad. Is he feeling any better now?
M: A little bit. He’ll be fine in a few days. So, what’s on the agenda for today?
W: You’ve got a 10:00 a.m. meeting about the Peterson account. And you’re having lunch with Valerie Dumonde. She wanted to talk to you before she leaves for Paris this evening.
M: Right. What time is the reservation?
W: 12:30. The car will pick you up downstairs at noon and take you over to her office. It shouldn’t take more than ten minutes to get there, and another five from her office to Charmaine’s. You’ll have plenty of time.
M: All right. What about the afternoon?
W: Well, so far, it looks like you just have the regular 3:00 p.m. managers meeting and some
e-mails to respond to.
2
M: That’s a relief. Maybe I’ll even make it out of here on time today!
W: Well, that would be a first, Mr. Evans, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
Text 10
A white dog named Bubbles was lost near the north entrance to Central Park on Wednesday, June 8th. Bubbles was last seen wearing a dark brown leather collar. Attached to the collar is a pink name tag with her address and phone number on it. Bubbles is a seven-year-old female dog with short hair. She weighs about five pounds and is very smart. She can sit and wait to be given food, play catch, roll over, and play dead. Bubbles is a member of our family, and we miss her very much. We got Bubbles as a two-month-old puppy when our daughter was only three years old. Bubbles slept with her every night. Now, our daughter cries herself to sleep every night because she misses her best friend. Bubbles brought such love and happiness to our family. Please help us find her. We are offering a reward of $1,000 to anyone who finds and returns this precious member of our family to us, no question asked. If you have seen Bubbles or know where she is, call us at (206) 452-9716.
